Donuts: the breakfast of chub-ions.

After a round of fruit this morning, I was stumped by what else I should feed the wee 'uns. Then I remembered! I had 3 rolls of refrigerated biscuit dough. That can mean only one thing: Donuts!
Megan had a fun time helping me make them, and an even more fun time frosting and eating.
I went to grab the camera to get a picture of her donut, but by the time I got back that baby was GONE.

"I cannot believe she just shoved that whole thing in her mouth."

But there were plenty of extras...

So she decorated another one.

Mmmm... crunchy....

"Mmmmm! You are the best mommy ever!"

I know, Robby. I know.

You TOO can make your children worship the ground you walk on after breakfast. All it takes is some vegetable oil and a roll of refridgerated biscuits. Heat a skillet with 3/4" - 1" of oil in it. When the oil is heated up, turn down to low heat and place shaped and flattened biscuit dough in the oil. Turn over when underside reaches golden brown. Allow to cool and drip on a paper towel, then serve with powdered sugar, or frosting and sprinkles!

Thank you for the recipe (Mrs. Betty Crocker!). It's a shame that Megan and Robby don't like the pajamas we bought for them. ;)

LOL --- I fed my kids donuts today -- although they weren't homemade - definitely breakfast of champions.
