Well, Monday came and brought me a sweet Christmas treat! A snow storm! In El Paso! It snowed pretty much all day Monday, and the first part of Tuesday. Mike's Mom and I headed out to the lone JoAnn's in El Paso about 25 minutes away on Monday morning. When we left the house it was just drizzling rain, and by the time we were about 5 miles out from our destination it was snowing HUGE FAT snow chunks, Cleveland-style! The snow didn't really begin to accumulate until the evening, since the ground was still above freezing, but by Tuesday morning we had about 3 inches of snow. Megan called me a liar, because I had told her that it didn't snow in Texas. I knew that it could happen, but I didn't want her to have any expectations. But Megan was happy that I am a liar, because that meant she got to make some snow-snugs. And I am happy I am a liar, too, because it was the perfect weather to go get our Christmas tree and set it up to Christmas music playing in the background!
It's back up to the 50's now, but the weatherman who reminds me of Guy Smiley says that we might get some more in a few days. I'm okay with that!
