A LOVEly start to LOVE day

Megan climbed in bed with me this morning, as she does every morning. When I told her "Happy Valentine's Day," she sat up, gasped and said, "is it really today? Is today the real Valentine's Day?" Yes, it really is! So Megan and I decided to surprise our still-sleeping men with a lovely breakfast. Megan voted and decided we'd have heart-shaped donuts and smoothies. It was done!

Posing with our finished breakfast display-- now to wake up the boys!

Instead of getting the kids each a few kitchy valentine's day toys and treats that would probably just add to our nasty clutter situation, we decided to get them each one good quality gift.
Robby scarfed his donut, and only then did he notice his gift. "I want my elmo present! I want my elmo present" (I used Elmo wrapping paper)

Robby's first super-hero toy. First of many, I'm sure. He learned about Batman by watching Daddy play a Batman game. Robby likes to unzip his footies and take his feet out, then run around saying "I Batman! I Batman!"
Megan got a new Barbie movie! She loves to rent them from Blockbuster. Mike shudders at the quality of the animation, but even he admits that it is a cute movie for his little girl.
