Apparently it is fall, or something, though you really wouldn't know it just by looking to nature for evidence. The trees are still green, and I'm not really seeing any yellows or oranges or browns even begin to creep in among the foliage. It still reaches into the high 80's most weeks. On Halloween evening, it was actually a little bit TOO warm. But, we soldier on, pretending that it actually feels like the year is drawing to a close, participating in those token activities that make us feel part of the rest of the world, and not caught in the seasonal time-warp that is Texas.
Strictly speaking, this picture has nothing to do with Fall, the season, but Robby had "fall"en asleep under the bench, and it was dang cute.

Here is the costume parade for Megan's joy school class! She was a Hello Kitty witch. I bought the costume on super-clearance when she was 8 weeks old at Target for 75 cents, and she finally fits into it! haha!

The kids and Dad at trunk-or-treat, Oct 29. Robby kept saying he wanted to be a pumpkin... well, good luck finding a non-dog, non-infant pumpkin costume. When I finally DID find one, guess who decided he wanted to be Thomas instead? Oh, well.

The day after Trunk-or-Treat, we raked up the leaves in the backyard and the kids played in them! These aren't fall-leaves... there are leaves shedding off our trees year-round. But for once it didn't feel ridiculous to be raking them up, and it was even a bit brisk that morning!

Wow, that must be some magically table for Robbie to fall asleep under it. I need to get me one of those!
