Chicago (the band, not the city) came to the fair here in the tri-cities, and they just happen to be clients of my wonderful and also well-connected Uncle Stan. So he made a few calls for us, and we got backstage passes and met the band! I'm not one who is really excited by the idea of meeting famous people because it's like... hello, awkward! What do you say? "Hi, you are famous, so that's the only reason I'm interested in you. Nice to meet you. You won't remember meeting me five minutes from now. Okay, bye!"
That said, it was still cool! And if nothing else, it makes for a great blog entry! I picked up a greatest hits CD of theirs at the store and got it autographed. Mike actually has some of their music at home, but that is 2,000 miles from here, so I just picked up something new.
Megan and Robby both fell asleep during the concert (which was LOUD), and Megan stayed asleep all through the meet and greet. Robby was wide awake for that though. The band members who we met saw Megan konked out and were like, "Wow, she was obviously really impressed by our performance!"
