The preschool solution

A month or so ago, I was going back and forth about what to do for Preschool with Megan. The ideal solution presented itself when my friend Lynette mentioned that she was wanting to start up a co-op with some of us from church to do preschool with our daughters. Her mother taught kindergarten and preschool for two decades, and gave Lynette her entire curriculum. We're talking TUBS of stuff, organized by letter of the alphabet with all sorts of music, crafts, science experiments, etc. We started last week, and will take turns teach and being the helper. Here's Megan ready to head out to preschool:
Robby... get out of the way!

There she is!

She even has little homework assignments some nights, which she thinks are great! Over the weekend, we made some apple pie for the letter A. I forgot how easy it is so make a pie... but it really was! And tastes great.

So we do preschool twice a week for 90 minutes, and it is working out great. I shy away from the institutional feeling of most preschools, but I want Megan to get the organization and interaction of school... so this is just right for us. Robby cries when we drop Megan off, because he loves his sister and wants to be with her! It is so sweet. Robby and I usually go shopping or to the park while Megan is gone. But because we live just blocks away from everyone participating, it is so easy to just walk over and back if we want to (or need to.... story to follow).
