These legs were made for walking. And climbing. And sneaking.

It has been almost two months that Robby has seemed just on the edge of starting to walk.  Today, he took the plunge!  I have caught him multiple times today taking 5-6 steps at a time before he tips or bails.  But that is not all I have caught him doing.  Also new as of today: sneaking and climbing.

I was playing the piano and the kids were playing behind me on the floor.  I turn around.  They are sitting on the couch-- both of them.  Robby climbed up on the couch by himself!  I was shocked because Megan couldn't do that until she was about 15 months old, and he seems to be a little bit slower at those things than Megan was.  About a half-hour later, I looked up from working on something and he was standing on the bench of the picnic table.  Darn.  Now I'm going to have to start really watching what this one is doing!  So, I took of picture of him standing on the bench.  Then, before my very eyes...

He went from this:
to this:
to this:
Super darn!  Now I really need to start keeping a closer eye on that monkey child.

Here we see him sitting on the couch after climbing up himself.  Immediately after snapping this shot, he lunged forward and did a somersault off the couch onto the blanket, landing on his back.  He sat up immediately and crawled away like that was what he meant to do.

I tried to catch some clips of him taking steps, but he likes to cheat and use the wall, or just bail out when he sees me near with something he wants (i.e. something electronic).  This was the best I could catch!
