First thing this morning we headed out to the Zoo, it being free Monday, and it being a nice day! I'll spare you from all the pictures of random animals that we took today... but I will share pictures of the last thing we did! As we were leaving, we walked passed a pen where they were doing camel rides. Megan immediately was really excited and really wanted to do it, and I had enough in loose change in my wallet to cover the charge, so we let her go for it. I was actually surprised at how unafraid and enthusiastic she was about it. She said, "I'm going to be a cowboy!!" before she climbed up.

They would have let up to 4 people on the ride with her, but the charge was per person, so we let her go solo. Immediately after the zoo, we went straight over to Case. As we were leaving in the morning, Mike's army recruiter called and was like "hey, I'll see you over on campus!" And Mike was like, "hey! I'm going to the zoo. What are you talking about?" **side-bar... Mike will be promoted from an 0-1 2nd lieutenant to an 0-3 captain on Sunday when he graduates. The army office is short staffed and won't have an officer to spare that can administer his oath, so they were going to just do it sometime beforehand during the week. Mike was informed of this about a week ago, but never got anymore info on it than that.** So, the recruiter and Mike agreed that sometime in the early afternoon they'd meet up at the dental school, where one of the army students there would do the oath-giving (any officer can do it). About 1 o'clock as we were starting to be done with the zoo, Mike's recruiter called and was like, "ok! See you on campus at 2!" So we headed right over there, where Mike was given the oath to become a captain. He still won't be one until Sunday though... it was all post-dated. So it's funny... right now Mike is in a very limbo-like place. He's a doctor, but not quite. He's a Captain, but not really. After Sunday everything will be much more official feeling!
So we got home from all our escapades at about 4 o'clock, and I got to work on some little chores I had been planning to get done today. Mike was doing something in the bedroom, and Megan and Robby were watching a show. I thought. After about 30 minutes of de-junking and cleaning the bathroom cupboards, I look up to see Robby walk through the door-- green.

Robby loves markers, and if he gets his hands on them he usually draws on the floor (it wipes right off, so it's not a huge problem, but we're trying to get him to stop.), so I was pretty surprised that he decided to color himself. But yay for washable markers, it's no big deal. We just tossed the boy in the bubble bath to play while I finished cleaning the bathroom, and Megan hopped in too, so they had a good time. Now it's after dinner, time for family home evening, bed, and then tomorrow our big party begins as all our family begins to arrive for Graduation Extravaganza 2009!
