Carlsbad & White Sands, plus a little Alamo on the side.

Before leaving El Paso, we made the most of our proximity to the Land of Enchantment, aka New Mexico ("Cleaner than Old Mexico!"). Here are some pictures from Carlsbad Caverns and the one I was able to get from White Sands National Monument before my camera died.

Pictures of the formations themselves didn't really turn out down in the caverns, but there are some nice pictures of us boring old people!

We went to the Alamo our first saturday here, and also did the River Taxi tour of the Riverwalk. It was a pretty downright steamy day, in case the foggy condensation on the lens of the camera doesn't make that clear!

Here we have my people with a bunch of dirty mexican soldiers. The men themselves were clean... but we are Texians, so they are the enemy. I'm not sure why they are still hanging around, I guess they are trying to rub in the loss or something. Robby was trying to disarm the brigand in the middle there while he was distracted.
Why are you smiling Mike? They want you dead!!

Mr. Sloppy Q. Jalopy there on the right is my absolute favorite.
