Felt board Extravaganza!

As I mentioned sometime earlier, we made a feltboard/whiteboard for a craft night. I got all excited about the felt board, but didn't have any felts or things to use with it. So Megan and I went to JoAnn's and picked out like 20 pieces of felt and we've been going to town making fun feltboard activity pieces! So far I've only made things to go with songs/nursery rhymes, and a matching game. I also want to make a few scripture story sets that we can use for family night lessons, so I'm going to start making maybe one new one every month so we can slowly build up a little felt story board library! There are a ton of really cute fun felt board things that you can buy, but I'm just too cheap for that. So armed with my $4 of felt, I'm going to make a TON of stuff!

Our first foray into felt: B-I-N-G-O. Megan has been my little helper by my side helping me decide what things we should make.
I came up with a fun idea for a ghetto fabulous version about a dog named BLINGO, but Mike said I shouldn't blog about that. Whoops! :-)

A carebear matching game! The hearts and stars are each numbered 1-9 on the back, and you can play it like a memory matching game. Or just scramble up the numbers and then put them in the right order again.

Hickory Dickory Dock clock, with mouse and hour-hand that you can move and point as you sing the song. (Megan LOOOOVES hickory dickory dock).

I think next up is Megan wanted us to do something with easter eggs... so I will cut out a bunch of colored egg shapes, and maybe a little nest or basket for them too. I haven't decided how to make that into an activity or a game yet, though. Maybe I'll also cut out colored shapes, zig-zags, etc that they can "decorate" easter eggs with. Anybody else have any wildly creative ideas?

Aren't you handy. That looks fun! Maybe we'll try it!
As for the eggs, maybe you can create a "backyard scene" and hide the eggs under and in things and let her easter egg hunt? It might take up a lot of felt but sounds like fun! The decorating sounds good too!
