Articles of Faith

Megan has a very powerful mind for a three-year-old... her memory is verging on scary. In primary the children are learning the articles of faith, and they focus on a new one each month. When they learn them, they can pass them off by reciting them (or singing, as there are songs written to help the children learn them) in front of the primary. Megan is now in her third month of primary, and has learned 10 of the 13. And she KNOWS them, like you ask for the number, and she knows which one that is. I remember just barely squeaking out memorizing them all right before I turned 12, and I didn't really know them, I just "knew" them well enough to be able to spit it out really fast and forget it afterwards.

So here is Megan, reciting her first 10 in no particular order. She learned them all without the songs, but has lately taken to trying to sing them... even though she doesn't know the tunes. So when she is struggling on the video, keep in mind that it is because she doesn't know the tunes, not the words.

There's no way she has memorized those! She's reading cue cards, right?

My word: "tessi"

Tessi: colloq. A southern term, abbreviating the name of the state of Tennessee.
