Ward Halloween Party

Tonight was our ward Halloween party.  Mike had to work tonight from 5-9pm, so he missed it.  After finding out that he was going to be MIA, I decided I would probably stay home too... balancing the kids and trying to go through the dinner line just seemed like a big "no thanks" to me, and it is always way crowded at ward parties since our cultural hall is 1/4 the size of a normal one.  Anyway, so I wasn't planning to go.  But last Sunday, unbeknownst to me, Mike made an announcement in Elder's quorum that his poor lonely wife needed help at the Halloween party, and would anyone be willing to babysit his little family whilst he was saving lives.  (That's not how he put it, I'm sure, but it is more interesting) Anyway, after church I had all these people asking if they could help me out at the Halloween party.  It was only then that Mike divulged his evil plot to allow me and the kids to enjoy in the revelry.  So the lovely and fabulous Rebecca Vineyard ended up tag-teaming with me to handle the 'lil'uns.  Megan loves Rebecca, and told her all kinds of wild things.  Robby went trick-or-treating with her around the tables with candy.  It was a fun evening, and even though I don't think a single person tried the chili I brought (not that I noticed... ;-) ), we had a great night!  Here are some pictures of Megan as a princess and Robby as Superchub (the crotch buttons on his costume wouldn't stay snapped, so his legs were just hanging out the bottom most of the evening).

She was pretty serious about that donut-eating game.
