As you can see, his hand has healed! All that remains is a nice shiny pink spot, which I imagine will fade with time. My only worry is that the discoloration might be permanent, and he will never be able to tan there, or something. But all that would come of that is that it would be a conversation starter... "hey, why is your hand pink in a varigated oval shape?" "Oh, that is the shape of the bristles on my mom's vaccuum cleaner, the one that ate the skin off my hand when I was 10 months old." See? Not bad. It could be a nice way to meet ladies when he's older. I hear we chicks dig scars.

I'm glad Robbie's hand is doing better! I think I heard that once the scab falls off you want to keep it out of the sun or it will stay white (cover with gauze or something?). Kind of unintuitive, but I may be misremembering so I'd google something:)
