WishBear Cake

I asked Megan what kind of a cake she wanted to have for her birthday, and she told me she wanted a WishBear CareBear cake.  I originally planned to trace a picture of a carebear onto a cake and fill it in as you see above (which is actually what I did end up doing, in the end...), but then one night it came to me that I should see if Wilton had a carebear cake pan.  Well, they do, and I ordered one on the cheap from eBay, but I didn't really think it through very much... that was last Wednesday night that I ordered it.  Not surprisingly, it hasn't arrived yet!
So last night I decided just to do the cake you see above.  I'm kind of proud of it, but I also think it is kind of ghetto.  I could have done a neater job, but I was feeling lazy and sloppy.... thus it is still in the pan, and there is frosting everywhere, and I just slopped her name on without really centering it...  but I think the carebear itself turned out really good. I didn't have many colors to work with, so it is a little 2-D, if I had more to work with I think I would have done the outline a darker shade so I wouldn't need to do the random brown outlining to help it keep it's form.  Anyway,  here it is!  Whenever the cake pan comes, I'll make a REAL carebear cake!
