Easter

Here is a photo-packed post all about how we had a ...
The kiddies had their easter egg hunt right after church, and they found lots of eggs and other fun surprises! I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy trying to get Robby interested in the hunt. We video taped it, but I won't subject you to that. Megan was very excited and into it, and she found most of Robby's things for him and put them in his bucket.

Later that afternoon, we had our good friends over for an Easter dinner. Prior to dinner we did a little egg hunt for all the kids. I set the plastic eggs out about an hour before the party, not thinking anything of it. Well, about twenty minutes later Mike happened to glance out the window and saw the neighborhood squirrels (who are descended from Piranhas, apparently) pillaging the eggs. They were opening them up and stealing all the candy out. Mike ran out there and shooed them away, then collected all the eggs he could. Two were completely missing, and then there was this one, which is my personal favorite.
So the Easter Bunn(ies) re-hid the eggs immediately before the hunt was to begin, and it was fun! It was super-quick, under 5 minutes long, but I think that it was just right.

Notice how all the kids are wearing winter coats and Megan is out there in a t-shirt? Yeah, we're bad parents. By the time I realized she was without her jacket, they were already started and I didn't want to miss catching the pictures! It was around 50 degrees and she didn't even complain, so stop judging me!

Our dinner was sooo good. We had a lot of good food, and even more good company. After dinner the kids played and played and played. Megan and Elisa were dancing princesses...
And James and Kaitlyn were the spectators.
Mark was posing for Robby, who was taking his magna-doodle portrait.
The 3 big kids played ring around the rosie...
And they all fell down! The part I didn't catch was where James started wrestling Megan once they were down. That was pretty good.
Look at those cute girls!
I feel so sad for Megan (and me!) leaving all of her friends when we move. She always tells me how Elisa is her, "very best friend in the whole wide world!" (P.S. Would you believe they are only 5 weeks apart in age?)

It's okay. It wasn't that much warmer here on Easter (and it was windy!) and I have a picture of Eve outside flying a kite in the wind in her tank-topped Easter dress :-)
