Miscellaneous Robby

As I write this, it occurs to me that Megan is rather unrepresented as of late on our blog. Guess that's her fault for not being as cute as Robby lately.

Kidding!

But seriously, Robby has been very extra cute lately.

I cleaned (I mean really cleaned) the kid's room earlier this week, and pulled like 5 empty diaper boxes out of their closet. Robby was in heaven! He kept tossing stuffed animals in them and then diving in himself. The boxes aren't very big though, so he kept getting stuck. Then as I finished up, I was putting a few things away in the closet (yes, the picture below is the finished product... sad, I know) and he slipped in there and dove into the box of shoes.

The other afternoon we were playing quietly in the front room, and Robby slipped away to their room. After a few minutes I went to see what he was doing, and he was sitting at the vanity getting purdy. For Robby, "getting purdy" means opening the drawers, dumping all the little accessories out, then repeatedly opening and closing the drawers with increasing force until the whole thing just tips over.

Robby got a new Carebear for Easter, Laugh-a-lot bear. But he wasn't laughing when he got his initiation to the caretaker that night!

I think bedtime bear must have been especially naughty, to be forced to face in like that.

When he wants something Megan has, or when she tries to take something away that he has, Robby's new tactic is to say his own name in protest. "Robby robby robby robbyyyyyy!!!!" He also calls me Kate sometimes now. When he woke up from his nap yesterday, I heard him moving around a little and then he started yelling, "Kate! Kate! Kate!"

I was trying to catch him saying my name on a video clip, but accidentally caught him getting mad at Megan and saying, "Robby!" instead. Then he gets mad, acts like he's about to hit the camera, and I get him to say, "Kate!" finally.

That's cute. Jay has been calling Josh "Josh" lately. It's pretty funny. Josh's isn't too thrilled but I think it's cute. It's mostly when he's looking for him or calling for him "Josh?!.... "Joooooosh!"
