What we found was an AWESOME little place to play! Even better, it was by chance free today. I guess regularly it is like 50 cents admission or something. It has a lot of covered picnic tables, and grass and deck chairs, and a wading pool shallow enough that if Robby tips over, his head is still above water. It has lots of other fun little features... see for yourself!

Robby was very interested in the mushroom waterfall, but would only creep slowly towards it, then change his mind.

Megan kept climbing up the slide and just standing there while other kids went past her... she wanted to follow the kids up, but was afraid of the tube on the slide. Finally I just forbade her from climbing up there, because she was causing slide congestion.

When I tried to take her picture, I got a scowl and she told me it was break time so I couldn't take her picture.

While we were on break time still, Mike called and said he wanted to go to lunch with us at this Mexican place near the hospital. He was done for the day because they let him go home early since it is technically a government holiday and he shouldn't have to be working (half of the other interns had it off). So I had him drop by the water park to check it out, then we loaded up and had lunch. It was very yummy, then we walked up the street a few shops to a Mexican bakery and got a bunch of cookies for really cheap.
Note to Jaclyn: You could have been there for all of that. Pity. :-) Just kidding! I know you would have been if you could have.
This water park is the third water play place we have been to on post. The first was a regular swimming pool with a wading pool for the kids (and some huge slides for the big people!), the second was a splash pad area near the commissary and PX where we had playgroup this week. Oh, yes. We have a playgroup formed consisting of some gals and kiddos whose husbands are interns with Mike. It's really fun because Megan has some girls her age that she loves to play with, and there are a lot of younger ones who are Robby's age. In fact... here are some pictures from playgroup on Wednesday!

Time out for a snack. The two girls in front there are Megan's little buddies. Eva is 3 and Trista is 5. They are sisters, and in fact there are actually five of them who are sisters. They are also LDS and we have become good friends with their family already.

Robby is becoming a social being (but not in this picture), I have noticed lately that he is very interested in other kids lately.

This is Trista, who Megan just adores. We can bribe her to do anything by simply threatening to take away Trista privileges.

What do you need to be able to use the on post pools? Military ID? An Uzi? A friend with an ID or Uzi?
I wish I had an Uzi.
Oh and btw... the kids (Robby in particular) are looking so oldish and grown up!
