Snapshots from the week

Last Friday we went to the commissary for a few items... this is what they have parked in the parking lot:
That pointy thing on the left is a patriot missile. They do not tolerate shoplifting at Fort Bliss.
And to put it in terms the German soldiers that are visiting on post will understand, they have that bad boy to the right...

We got back from the commissary and the kids had a movie night. Though for the life of me, I can't remember what movie they watched.

Robby loves popcorn. Anytime he runs out, he says, "Ah-unt meh cahn!"
Friday Megan got to build a treasure chest at Lowe's build and grow clinic. She liked holding the tiny Megan-sized hammer.
Robby and I strolled around Lowe's while the treasure chest was getting built, looking at potties and other things that Robby finds interesting. "Potty! A poop! A pee pee! A potty!"
Here is the nearly finished project which Megan, "made all by myself! And Daddy helped me!"
Robby has a little girlfriend named Stella. She is actually right between Robby and Megan in age, so she is in his nursery class, but in Megan's swimming class. So she's a good buddy all around! But Robby is especially fond of her...
Robby whispers, "Hey Stella... I know this really great spot we can drive to. There's a nice view of the mountains. Your Dad won't mind."
"Woman, I can't drive while you're all over me!"
Our new TV was scheduled to be delivered yesterday afternoon... they had even called on Friday to make the appointment, so I was there and waiting all afternoon. So of course, the afternoon came and went without the TV arriving. I called at 6 to find out what the heck was the deal, and found that the shipment hadn't made it in on time, and so the package never made it on the truck. So by this time, the scheduling clerk had gone home, so likely wouldn't call until tuesday to make an appointment probably for wednesday. Mike called them and asked if we could just pick it up ourselves, and they said they could have it ready for us to pick up at 10:30 PM. So last night, Mike went and got it. We got it set up, Oooh'ed and Aaah'ed, then I left the room for a while, while Mike played rockband. I came back in the room and saw this:

I think he makes a handsome rockstar. When I tried to climb into bed because I was tired, I was told that there were no groupies allowed on the stage. I was also informed that I wasn't allowed to blog this, but a I'm naughty and disobedient groupie. I had to include the second picture because the character on the TV is this girl rockstar that Megan thinks looks a lot like her Nana for some reason. So whenever Mike would play Rockband, she'd always tell him to play one with Nana in it.

Megan came into my room this morning and kind of laid and snuggled with me for a few minutes before she actually opened her eyes and noticed the new TV. Then she went, "Woah!" I brought Robby in, and let them watch some Wiggles in their jammies. It was very cute! And Robby was so mesmerized he actually stayed put.

Our girls made the same treasure chests. Aren't those projects fun? I really like them because they are free. I love the felt dolls that you made as well!
