I first had these at a friend's house a few weeks ago when we were there for lunch... since then, we have been experimenting at home with our own different smoothie variations (raspberry peach, mixed berry, strawberry peach...). But today at lunch we returned back to the original, and it turned out oh-so-good! So fast, cheap, and easy, it has to be shared! From the moment I got the hankering to make some until they were done it was probably no more than 90 seconds, and that was even with Megan's help!
So here's what you need:
Pink Lemonade mix (I use country time, but anything that is 1Tbsp:8 oz water will do)
1/2 bag frozen stawberries (comes to about 8 oz of berries, or 1 &1/2 cups)-- I buy mine at walmart for about $2.86/bag
warm water (I do warm water so as to melt it down a little so it isn't too thick when it's finished)
In a blender, put 1 &1/2 cups warm water and add 1 & 1/2Tbsp lemonade mix. Then add frozen strawberries, blend until smooth. Serve! Sooo good! Makes enough for 1 mommy sized portion and 2 chub-chub sized portions. Total cost: ~$1.50
If anyone has any other similarly fast & easy smoothie variations, do share!
