Clearance is da best!

Here is Megan's new carseat!  I had been passively shopping for a new one for her, since she is almost exceeding the limits of her current seat, and Robby IS exceeding the limits for his seat.  We were at target, and I just happened across the clearance area, though I was not in the market for anything specific.  I noticed the above car seat marked down $30!  So I got it for just shy of $70, when it is a $100 seat.  Oooh, and it has special "ortho comfort padding" which is this fake memory foam for the kiddos to rest their weary tushies on.  This car seat will convert into a booster seat when Megan is ready for it, and it is good up to 100 lbs... which means, if she's like me, she'll be able to ride in it until she's a junior in high school.

(P.S. what is with these insane new guidelines for keeping kids in car seats until they are like 10? Do people actually DO that?  I can't imagine still having to be in a booster seat at that age... what is with things these days?  Our elementary school kids can be allowed to have myspace pages and their own cell plans with text messaging, but they can't use a normal seat belt?  I worry that perhaps we are over protecting in the wrong areas...  End random tangent.)

I totally agree with you! I think the law here in Arizona is that your child is supposed to be in a booster seat until they are 100 lbs. Um... I would have been dating at that point. Kinda weird.... Of course, nowadays there are 6 year olds that weigh 100 lbs...
