I have another recipe that I'll be adding to my recipe page on our webpage, but since I don't think it gets the same amount of traffic as the blog, I'm posting it here for all to see!
This recipe is great because it is super cheap and fast, and still tastes really good. Most things I make that are inexpensive and quick just remind me of the money I saved making them: they are dry, bland, and leave you with the distinct impression that many many other people have handled it.
But not this recipe! It costs less than $5 to make, and has a lot of flavor. And it is easy on the eyes, too!
Sausage and Apples1 lb polish sausage (I like to used the smoked kind), cut into small pieces2 large apples, cut into 16 slices each1/2 cup brown sugar1 Tbsp lemon juice1/8 tsp pepper
Heat the brown sugar, lemon juice, and pepper over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add apples & stir. Cook for 5-7 minutes until warmed through and tender. Add sausage pieces, cook an additional 3 minutes until warmed through. Serve! Delish! Makes about 6 servings
