I'm taking an ugly day

When you are sick and a mommy, you don't get to take a sick day.  But you can take an ugly day!  Since I'm sick and Mike took the car this morning, and I'm can't go anywhere anyway, I've decided to take an ugly day.  I don't want to take the time and energy necessary to get myself all "put together" today.  If I were a true-blue blogger, I'd take a picture so you all could see me in my ugliness.  But I'm not.  So I'm not gonna!

So here's what I've decided to do instead of spend an hour or so showering, dressing, doing my hair, and chub-wrangling: I'm going to make a list of things that I wish we had done/will do as a family in Cleveland.  We haven't gone out and done so many things because of three factors: time, money, and babies.  When you don't have much of the first two, and have more than enough of the third, it is much easier to just get a blockbuster online membership and stay home all the time! But now it feels like we have no time left to do anything (since the summer is the best time to "do" things, and our summer is already full with rotations, board exams, and ADT in Texas), so I'm making a list of things in hopes that we will get around to a few of these things.

-Attend an Indian's Game (we did have tickets to go to a game our first year... but Megan was being born that night.  Go figure!)
-Visit Cleveland Museum of Art (if they ever finish renovating it while we're still here...)

These are just things I could come up with just sitting here thinking about it... there is SO MUCH to do around here!  There is so much we HAVE done around here.  When we come back a few decades from now for a med school reunion, we'll have to do a lot of this stuff that we just can't do now!

The Christmas Story house should be first on your list! One of these days I need to go visit the Full House house.

By the way, I agree that getting ready takes up too much time. I wish I could take an ugly day today. But I think the YW would look at me funny when I showed up at mutual!
