The Odyssey - part 2.1: more pictures and more random tidbits

My mom and I were going to get haircuts, and Megan really wanted hers cut, too.  It surprised me (I always had assumed she would freak out getting her haircut), but we got hers done, too.  She sat up in the chair so happy to be there-- she just grinned the whole time.  It has been a few weeks, and she still says, "I got my haircut today, mommy!"
After we got our hair done, Megan, Robby, and I went to get some treats at dairy queen while we waited for Grandma to finish her work at the Richland seminary.  Megan got a cone, which she devoured...
... and Robby got a nap.

My parents got fancy-schmancy new appliances--doing their part to stimulate the economy! **side-note: anytime I want to splurge and buy something now, I justify it by saying that I am trying to help the economy.  So really, I was just thinking of others when I bought myself a new purse.** So, they wound up with a huge box their new stove came in, which Megan and I turned into a play house for her to enjoy.  We drew portraits on the wall, and baby einstein on the TV.

Mike returned from Ft. Lewis wearing his full get-up. We call these his "killin' clothes"... but since he's actually in the medical corps, I guess that would be a bad thing.

"Alright, Private-- go dig a ditch over there.  And drop and give me 50.  Aaah, power!"

I recognize that hair salon! Looks like you really enjoyed yourself in good ol' Richland.
