The Odyssey - part 3.1

Another fun thing we did during the last week in Richland (the first week Mike was actually with the rest of us on vacation) was visit with the Jacksons/Harveys/Hansens.  Brittany (my 2nd cousin) had a birthday while we were there, so we all got together to par-tay.  The most fun part about that (besides the yummy food ;-P) was getting the little kids together.  Megan and Eve (Brittany's daughter) are about two months apart in age, and Robby and Jay (Brittany's son) were actually due like 2 days apart, but are about 3 weeks apart in age.  No, we haven't coordinated our children-- it's just coincidence! But we were joking to each other, "so... what should we have next? a boy, or a girl?"

Megan usually freaks out around other children initially, and then chills out and is willing to play.  Eve was no exception, but by the time we were ready to go we were able to convince her to hug her cousin.  The next day they came over to my parent's house to play in the wading pool, and Megan warmed up to Eve again.  At one point, the two of them went upstairs to play in Megan's "room," and we were just listening to them through the baby monitor.  It was really funny to hear two 2-year-old girls jabbering to each other.  Then through the monitor we all the sudden heard some strange noise (we don't now what it was, but we think it may have been the sound of gas being passed.), followed by a pause and then insane laughter.  It was pretty cute!
