No need to want...

Jesus doesn't need to want Megan for a sunbeam anymore.  He's got her!  Today was this big girl's first day of Primary. She took her scriptures that we got her name embossed on, and all the new sunbeams got their very own scripture cases with their initials on them from the primary presidency.  The primary presidency in our ward is very sweet and they (in my opinion) go far above and beyond the call of duty.  I couldn't resist peeking in on her while in the hallway with big R. She was so sweet sitting there still as a Sunbeam can, watching the sharing time and singing time.
I asked her how her first day was, and she said it was good.  She told me that her teacher told her not to read her scriptures.  That may sound like a typical 3 year old confabulation, but in this case I actually believe it is true.  Here's why.  At home she likes to take her scriptures, and "read to me,"  mostly reciting jibberish words in a scripture type rhythm.  And she also expects me to repeat after her.  So yesterday, I told her she got to take her scriptures with her to church.  She responded with, "Yeah, and I can read them to my teacher and to the other kids."  And in my head, I'm picturing the class all sitting down, and having a lesson, and Megan suddenly opening her scriptures and beginning to "read" to everyone.  So I said, "If your teacher asks you to, you can read them." I'm guessing that what happened today was that her teacher didn't ask her, but she read them anyway.
