I'm still having major difficulties getting anything on blogger lately! Argh! But after a day of trying, here are some snapshots.
By way of explanation, on the last day of Megan's Little Gym class, they had a little recital where all the parents could go in the room and watch them do two little dance routines, and then they did 3 gymnastics floor routines. Mike got the time off to come during the afternoon, and Megan was so excited when she saw him walk in! The performances were very entertaining, if not exactly what they had been practicing for the last 6 weeks. At the end of the show, Megan got a present from us to congratulate her on her hard work for the last 20 weeks.
She came a long way... the first week we went she cried and cried and didn't want to go in or participate. And now she knows how to do a whole bunch of dance steps and gymnastics moves just on command... toe taps, heel digs, arabesques, sashés (sp?), forward rolls, dip steps, monkey hops (early cartwheel) and donkey kicks (early handstands), and much much more! So for all her hard work she got a new CareBear, "Do Your Best Bear."
Teacher Amy encouraging Megan to do some freestyle
Megan becoming a caterpillar on the high beam. (She got the choice of doing her routine on the low beam or the high beam, and she chose the high beam. So brave!)
Robby watching all the big kids
Megan got a special medal at the end of the day for her good work!
All the little Jazzy Bugs with their medals
Megan and the newest addition to our CareBear family: Do Your Best Bear! It has a kite for a belly badge to remind you "to reach high to accomplish your dreams"(!!!).
