The theory of exponential cuteness

When one chub engages in an ordinary activity, it is (being the natural consequence of actions done by a chub) necessarily cute.  Another chub, in isolation, performing the same activity is also necessarily cute.  If two chubs are brought together in such an activity, the property of cuteness is not additive, but exponential.
Thus: 2 Chubs ≠ Cute + Cute
2 Chubs = Cute^2

I just don't know how to handle all the cute there will be when there is three!
