The long silence is broken

We're back!  We were gone, by the way.  I'll post more about that later (I assume...).  I feel obligated to post, but don't know where to begin except to say we're glad to be home after a 2 week trip that felt much longer.  Also I am too tired to write much.  I'll just save that for tomorrow.

Here's what I have to say for now:  why is it that the kids and I have never had a problem with switching 3 time zones before (and we've done it plenty), and all the sudden this time around it is 11:30 and the babies are still wide awake yelling and playing, and refusing to nap much during the day?  I thought a 4:30am wake up call on travel day would be enough to kick us all back to eastern time, but apparently this time around all it was good for was creating a flight from Newark to Pittsburgh that's main feature was Robby screaming and throwing his body around THE WHOLE TIME.

Here are a few pictures from our absence, just to make this more interesting.

Hey, who gave that boy chocolate? Well, he's not complaining.

Family shot before we left.  I'd post the one with everybody, except it is really unflattering of more than one person, myself included!

Oh my goodness - that little boy looks just like you Kate! So cute -- how are you? Haven't seen you in ages. Hope all is well -- Rachel (your cousin)
